Storytale

Storytale in schools — writing without the blank-page freeze

Every language teacher knows it: a student staring at an empty screen, unable to begin. Not because they have nothing to say — but because the first sentence is a hurdle that's hard to clear.

Removing the hurdle

In Storytale, someone else starts. Or the AI does. By the time it's your turn, there's already half a sentence, a feeling, a direction. You don't have to invent the whole story — just the next sentence.

For students who otherwise wouldn't start, that's a world of difference. They've contributed ten words before they realise they've "written" something.

For students with dyslexia

A number of teachers have used Storytale with students who have dyslexia. The spell correction — optional in Storytale — removes the shame of submitting something with errors. The sentence appears neatly in the reveal, even if you typed it with typos.

Important: the AI corrects spelling, not content. Your sentence remains yours in substance.

For group work

Another teacher uses Storytale for group assignments "write a story together" — not because it's faster, but because group work in a chat box or Google Doc is awkward. Storytale enforces taking turns; no one can dominate, no one can hide.

What we're missing

A teacher dashboard where you can oversee multiple class sessions, a student overview, an assignment template. Those features go on the backlog. Are you a teacher who'd like to help shape them? Send us a message via the footer.

Always free for schools

However many donations or premium features we may introduce in the future — Storytale stays free for education. That's a promise.
